Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe were both born and raised in the outback of Northern Germany. Inspired by the electronic music of the early nineties, both started to deejay, and with some borrowed equipment, they produced their first tracks in the cold winter of 1998-99, the beginning of a serious musical production addiction! Besides Midimiliz and Extrawelt, they are also responsible for projects like Spirallianz and together with Marcus Maichel, The Delta and Downhill. In May 2005 they started a brand new project, Extrawelt, intersecting electro, progressive trance and minimal techno into their own unique mesmerizing style. Their debut 12" appeared on James Holden's mighty Border Community imprint. The Extrawelt live show weaves techy flavors from their lengthy back catalogue and new cuts from their fresh new releases on Great Stuff, Traum Schallplatten, Kompass Musik, BoshkeBeats and Sven Väth's Cocoon Recordings, the latter, Titelheld, being one of the summer's smash hits.

Arne Schaffhausen et Wayan Raabe sont tous deux issus des régions profondes de l'Allemagne du nord. Inspirés par la musique électronique du début des années '90, ils devinrent dj, et à l'aide d'équipement emprunté, ils produisirent leurs premières pièces au cours du rude hiver de 1998-99, le début d'une sérieuse dépendance à la production musicale! Hormis Midimiliz et Extrawelt, ils sont aussi derrière Spirallianz et, avec Marcus Maichel, The Delta et Downhill. En mai 2005, ils mirent sur pied un tout nouveau projet, Extrawelt, croisant l'électro, la transe progressive et le techno minimal en un style unique et hypnotisant. Leur premier 12" parut sur la réputée étiquette Border Community de James Holden. La prestation live d'Extrawelt tisse des saveurs techno de leur impressionnant catalogue et de leurs toutes nouvelles pièces parues sur Great Stuff, Traum Schallplatten, Kompass Musik, BoshkeBeats et le label de Sven Väth, Cocoon Recordings, sur lequel la pièce Titelheld fit un malheur cet été.
