Montréal, le 16 septembre 2007 - NOERG Productions est fier de présenter la deuxième édition « Nuit blanche » de la série Microtek qui aura lieu au Théâtre Sans Fil à Montréal le samedi 10 novembre dès 22h.

Lieu historique et centre de créations artistiques, le Théâtre Sans Fil sera pour une deuxième fois (Microtek v.3 10 octobre 2006 avec les Allemands Extrawelt) transformé par l’équipe de Noerg Productions pour la présentation de la première performance de l’Italien Dusty Kid en sol canadien.

La soirée débutera avec une performance de Dexter Melano qui nous présentera ses dernières compositions qui oscillent entre le techno, la house et le breakbeat. Il sera suivi des djs du collectif Noerg : Redden avec ses sonorité électro et break beat, suivit de Mike Dee qui nous servira un set alliant électro et techno. Puis Euterke présentera un autre de ses fameux VDJ set (Musique + visuel) juste avant la performance de Dusty Kid. Nous aurons droit à un autre versus mémorable signé Olivier Saint-Germain et Tenzin sur quatre tables pour poursuivre la nuit. Puis nul autre que Soundshaper, dj et vétéran de la scène montréalaise depuis plus de vingt ans, s’occupera, en duo avec Scoy, de la clôture de l’événement jusqu’aux petites heures du matin. Le tout se déroulera dans un environnement visuel immersif qui fait la réputation des événements libellés Noerg.Aux commandes des visuel vous retrouverez les vidéo jockeys du collectif Noerg soit Futil, Mikiram et Euterke.

Dusty Kid (alias Paolo Alberto Lodde) est né au début des années 80. Il fut qualifié d’enfant prodige à 10 ans puisqu’il gradua en une seule année l’équivalent de 6 ans de leçons de piano et violon. Après l’aventure classique, il a commencé à s’intéresser à l’électronique et il réalisa son premier single I Found A Reason à 19 ans sur l’étiquette anglaise Lowered Recordings. Il produit alors quelques « singles » et remixes pour Mutiny UK, Robbie Rivera et Trinity Hi-Fi. Son premier sous le pseudonyme Dusty Kid fut The Summer of Love. En 2004 il fonde le projet Duoteque avec le DJ Andrea Ferlin et font paraître de nombreux EP sur l’étiquette Boxer qui fûrent inclus immédiatement dans les dj sets de plusieurs grands djs tel Richie Hawtin, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Dominik Eulberg, Sven Vath et Magda. En 2006, il revient à la charge avec son projet solo. Sa première sortie fut New Ordinament EP sur Motivo suivit en 2007 de plusieurs parutions sur des étiquettes très en vogue comme Boxer (Anatome EP Vol.1), Kling Klong (Signal ’63 EP), Systematic (Tsunamy EP) et Southern Fried Records (The Cat/The Kitten EP). Toutes ces parutions se sont retrouvées dans le top 10 de plusieurs djs à travers le monde et font toujours des ravages sur les « dancefloor ». Il reçut également de très bonnes critiques de la presse écrite. Il prépare maintenant son premier album. Lors de ses performances live on peut s’attendre à un mélange des genres... une sorte de techno éclectique avec des influences des années 80 et de l’acide house le tout avec une touche minimal.

Montreal, October 2007 – NOERG Productions is proud to present the second edition of the Microtek “All night” series at the Théatre Sans Fil, presenting for the first time in Canada, Dusty Kid, from Italy, on Saturday November 10th.

This historical building dedicated to artistic creation will be literally transformed by Noerg once again, following Microtek v.3, held on October 13th 2006 with the German formation, Extrawelt.

The evening will start at 10 p.m. with Dexter Melano, who will be playing his most recent compositions, varying from techno to house to breakbeat. His performance will be followed by Noerg dj’s with an eclectic breakbeat set by Redden, and Mike Dee, who will offer a more upbeat techno set. Then Euterke will present one of his unique VDJ sets, synchronising a video projection with his musical act. Will follow, a breath taking live performance from Dusty Kid, and another memorable performance by Olivier Saint-Germain and Tenzin on four decks and, to bring the night to an end, veteran Soundshaper, who has worked in the Montreal electronic music scene for over twenty years, will team up with Scoy for a memorable set. All this supported by Noerg’s immersive environment, which made the reputation of the company, made possible by the work of Noerg’s video jockeys, Futil, Mikiram and Euterke.

DUSTY KID (aka Paolo Alberto Lodde) was born at the beginning of the 80’s. As a new “enfant prodige”, he immediately demonstrated his natural attitude for the variegated “music world”. At 10, after only one year of private lessons of piano and violin, he was admitted directly to the 6° year of the piano course in the conservatory of his native city. Following his academic experience, he gradually moved from the austere classical world to the electronic system, free from the binds and traditional old-fashioned diktats. DUSTY KID started to manipulate synthesizers, samplers and sequencers, and realized that his passion was growing and growing: the ardour for arranging and producing his own compositions. He released his first single “I Found A Reason” at 19 on the English label Lowered Recordings, and then produced various singles and remixes for Mutiny UK, Robbie Rivera and Trinity Hi-Fi. The first official single under the pseudonym DUSTY KID was “The Summer of Love”. But it’s during 2004 that Dusty Kid created the project Duoteque with DJ Andrea Ferlin and released numerous EPs on Boxer Recordings.The tracks were immediately included in the DJ sets of some of the most important names, like Richie Hawtin, Tiefschwarz, Ricardo Villalobos, Dominik Eulberg, Sven Vath and Magda.
After the Duoteque experience, Paolo decided to go his own way as DUSTY KID. The first release was the NEW ORDINAMENT EP on Motivo, followed by a second EP in 2007. 2007 also saw various releases as Dusty Kid on labels such as Kling Klong “Signal ’63 EP”, Systematic “Tsunamy”/”Milk”, Boxer Recordings “Anatome EP Vol.1” and Southern Fried Records “The Cat” / “The Kitten”, all hugely supported by DJS all over the world and still doing damage on the dance floors and in the charts, as well as getting amazing press reviews. But there’s still time before the end of the year…and while producing tracks for his debut album and the various gigs around the world, Paolo has placed some more tracks due for release prior to the end of the year, as well as delivered some amazing remixes for the like of Josh Gabriel and The Droyds (the latter for #1 dance Italian label Rebirth)………You can’t restrict it to a genre… it is a sort of eclectic techno with influences from the 80’s with acid house and spiced with minimal… in a few words… a big beat soup!
